Born in Madrid in 1980, Berta Giner is a Spanish contemporary artist whose practice explores landscape as both a physical reality and a space of memory, perception, and transformation. Through layered surfaces, gestures of accumulation and reduction, and an intuitive dialogue with matter, her paintings move between presence and disappearance, revealing traces of time embedded within the image. Working primarily in large formats and often using spatulas, rollers, and blades rather than traditional brushes, Giner has developed a distinctive visual language that emphasizes texture, depth, and materiality.

After dedicating herself fully to her artistic career, Giner quickly gained international recognition through solo exhibitions in Madrid and Barcelona, participation in major art fairs including Estampa and Art Madrid, and exhibitions at the MEAM – European Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona. Her work has been presented in galleries and fairs across Europe and the United States, including Paris, Rome, Berlin, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York, and is held in private collections internationally.
