ANA CRISTINA DIAS

Born in Lisbon in the late 1960s, she earned a degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon. After working in advertising for many years, she has been fully dedicated to painting since 2010. Passionate about photography, she spends hours in nature observing, listening, and capturing images. Both photography and travel are essential to her creative process; many of her artworks are based on photographs she has taken, while her travels inspire her imagination and artistic sensitivity.

Anthropomorphic figures are a consistent theme in her work — where humans and animals merge to create unique and inseparable beings. She showcases her talent as a visual storyteller, expressing a longing for a more beautiful world and a continuous search for inner peace. Believing in art's power to communicate, she hopes to evoke positive emotions in the public, allowing them to briefly forget the shadows and turmoil of everyday life
