The Gallery
Lu Mourelle Art Gallery is a contemporary art space located in the Historic Center of Cascais. Since opening to the public in 2019, the gallery has developed an independent curatorial program dedicated to contemporary artistic practices, presenting paintings, sculptures, and selected three-dimensional works.
The gallery’s program brings together Portuguese and international artists through solo and group exhibitions, fostering dialogue between different artistic languages, materials, and perspectives. Each exhibition is conceived as a curated project, shaped by conceptual coherence and visual rigor rather than commercial trends.
While the gallery carries the name of its founder, Lu Mourelle Art Gallery operates as an autonomous curatorial platform, committed to presenting diverse artistic voices and expanding contemporary artistic discourse. Works by Lu Mourelle are part of the gallery’s program, yet they coexist within a broader curatorial framework that reflects the gallery’s vision, research, and ongoing artistic collaborations.
